Skills First Subsidised Training

Master Builders Victoria offers Skills First subsidised training for our nationally recognised qualifications. Skills First is an exciting opportunity to gain new skills or upgrade your existing qualifications to help you get the job you want. Skills First provides eligible applicants with access to Victorian and Commonwealth Government subsidised funding in a vocational training course.

Skills First makes vocational training more accessible to people who do not hold a post-school qualification, or want to gain a higher level qualification than they already hold.

Am I eligible?

Skills First is available for Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent visa holders who are either under 20 years of age, or over 20 and looking to study a qualification higher than one they currently hold. Eligible students can access up to two subsidised places in a year when enrolments are at different levels. Further Skills First discounts are also available for eligible concession card holders.

Upon your application for a vocational training course, Master Builders Victoria will determine your eligibility.
