Exclusive to Solar Victoria, this program is designed to equip site supervisors with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead and communicate effectively in a safety-conscious workplace. It focuses on themes and topics related to understanding leadership styles and preferences, influential communication strategies with stakeholders, and how adopting a safety mindset can lead to better outcomes for all stakeholders.
Learning Outcomes
- Relevant Victorian Workplace Legislation: Participants will gain an understanding of workplace legislation applicable in Victoria, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- OHS Act 2004:
Section 21 – Duties of Employers to Employees: Participants will grasp the specific responsibilities of employers towards their employees.
Section 25 – Duties of Employees: An understanding of the duties and obligations of employees.
Section 26 – Duties of Persons Who Manage or Control a Workplace: Insight into the duties of individuals responsible for managing or controlling a workplace.
Section 32 – Duty Not to Recklessly Endanger Persons at Workplaces: Knowledge of the duty to avoid reckless endangerment in the workplace.
Section 35 – Duty to Consult: Understanding the importance of consultation in maintaining a safe workplace.

Course Inclusions
Participants will receive standard course material that includes essential content related to safety leadership and communication strategies. To enhance the learning experience, the program includes pre-recorded and real-life site-based interactions, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in practical scenarios. Morning and afternoon tea breaks include tea and coffee to keep participants refreshed and energized along side a catered lunch will be provided to participants during the program.
