Manage your building career by studying your CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building). This course is delivered and assessed by Master Builders Association of Victoria (RTO no 3935) and is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding. Successful participants will be issued with a Diploma by Master Builders Association of Victoria, (RTO no 3935).

Course Overview
Are you a qualified tradesperson, site manager, construction manager or other building professional involved in the planning of onsite construction work? Whether you’re looking towards builder registration or for a professional development opportunity, this course will help to take your career to the next level. This Diploma covers multiple aspects of the construction process and management, relevant to both domestic and commercial construction, including:
- Business management
- Building technology
- Operational and supervisory management
- Legislation, codes and standards
- Selecting contractors
- Overseeing quality
- Liaising with clients
Applicants will be required to attend a Pre-Training Review to ensure they have the necessary industry experience, as well as sufficient literacy and numeracy skills, to successfully complete the course. It is strongly recommended that applicants complete the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) before undertaking this qualification.
Builder Registration
Along with relevant building experience, this course may assist you to meet some, or all, of the knowledge requirements needed for registration, depending on the category you are applying for. The Victorian Building Authority (VBA) will consider this qualification as part of a broader examination of your knowledge and experience.

Set up as a realistic construction site, participants are immersed into real-life scenarios, typical of construction workplaces, giving you the opportunity to practice new competencies in a controlled environment.
