Mental Health in the Workplace Course Overview

This training explores mental health in the workplace, some crisis situations that may impact on work performance and the referral process. The workshop includes definition of mental health, the impact of mental health issues in the workplace, what is mental illness, how to have – “The Conversation” with an employee in the workplace, promoting a mentally healthy workplace and where to direct the employee to seek help.

Learning Outcomes

Developing mental health problems covered are: depression, anxiety problems and panic attacks. Mental health crisis situations covered are suicidal thoughts and behaviours. Explores Beyond Blue’s “Heads Up” campaign and resources for workplaces.

Participants will receive a Statement of Participation Certificate upon completion.
