Designed For

HLTAID003 Provide first aid – Blended Delivery (previously known as Level 2 first aid) – is designed for new designated workplace first aiders in the building and construction industry. This delivery method is only available for individual companies seeking to undertake Level 2 first aid training for a group of their employees.

Course Overview

This blended Provide first aid unit requires a theory workbook component to be completed by students prior to the attendance of a single day of practical training and assessment in the classroom.

This one day course covers topics such as responsibility of the first aider, infection control, bleeding and shock, angina, fractures, soft tissue injuries, head injuries, epilepsy, heart attack, seizures, asthma, poisoning, burns, fainting, diabetes, eye injuries, sprains and unconsciousness.

Students will be required to demonstrate competent CPR on an adult and infant manikin, participate in two first aid scenarios, apply first aid procedures for a variety of first aid conditions and complete a written knowledge assessment.

Learning Outcomes

HLTAID003 Provide first aid – Blended Delivery (Level 2 first aid) tailored Master Builders program will enable you to:

  • Respond to an emergency situation
  • Apply appropriate first aid procedures
  • Communicate details of the incident
  • Evaluate the incident and own performance.

Course Enrolment Requirements

To undertake this blended program participants must enrol one month in advance of the scheduled date of the practical training and assessment. The provided theory workbook must be completed, returned to the assessor and marked as competent before attendance is permitted at the one-day course. This requirement will be strictly applied.
Successful participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment by Premium Health Pty Ltd (RTO no 104032).
